He was my father, and a great one at that. Survived 2 shipwrecks in the 2nd world war, survived malaria, was at the D-Day landings on a minesweeper. he loved his wife, Hazel, so much and was an inspiration to me. He died the day before Charles & Diana got married so that will never be forgotten.
